I was saying the 2009 leftovers will drop, not the 2010's. The 5.4L is a great motor but Ford is bringing back the 5.0 by popular demand and the 5.4l will stay with the trucks??

I will believe it when I see it....if they bring back the 5.0, I doubt it will REPLACE the gt500 platform...yet it will be in the GT....the 5.0 is nicknamed the ford coyote project I believe...but what I have read and heard was that it was being used in a gt or "boss...or Mach 1 type mustang...not the gt500....

I heard the same thing also TJ.
The 5.4 stays in the Cobra, as well as the blower.

If I hadnt put so much into mine, I would love to have the 5.4 and then build on that.

2cokeman - hmm 600HP that sounds interesting, about prices I mean the current Model, that the prices will fall, you already see a lot at 38-39.000$.

Now dont kick me but I thought about the new Camaro also, but the Interior is just a joke, it looks like crap even only compared with US Cars, not European.

Ford and GM both have crappy interiors, no retro at all, they all look like gran prix and g6
YUK!! The 09's that are left will rise in Canada again because of the $$ but the U.S. market prices will drop on left overs, it is already happening!

buy a turbo or supercharger for the GT and upgrade the suspension and tires. i rode in a 06 Mustang GT that was turbocharged and the thing pulled like a MONSTER... he also had upgraded suspension and handled like it was on rails. and just this past friday i rode in my friend's dad's 07 Shelby GT500 and that thing was a beast too. he never floored it though only got on it about 1/2 throttle. it only has like 400 something miles on it too.

I'm thinking they wont topple the GT 500 power wise. 1st year production went fast, not so much for the next two. Mostly due to price of course. My perception of the 2010 is it will be smaller then the current model in the engine room so, a 5.4 without a blower may not fit.
Recall too that heat issues have significantly cut short the life span of the clutches to Fords expense.

Pull in the competition from the Camaro for 400 the horsepower car buyer and I think Ford will match them.

I've seen many vidsof the shelby vs. roush head-to-head, including vids by american and euro car mags, and the Roush takes the GT500 every time. Weight, suspension, control, wheels, and brakes are all in Roush's favor, and considering your competition, handling is of concern...that gt500 weighs in at like 500000000 pounds but it is hella fast, but overall the roush is better.
