I was speaking...err...typing, rather...of my Christmas tree. It is at the Christmas tree farm....went and picked it out about 4 weeks ago and tagged it~! I go get it soon!!
I am around.... And yeah.....Christmas time gets me super giddy.... I can't help it!

But think of all the extra cost for Ford to have painted those couple of hundred thousand mirrors in all those different colors! With new colors each year!
Besides, two-tone is the only way to go! See the 2010's mirrors to see how much they agree with me... wink *

Lol, they were too damn lazy to come up with a real mirror...
Actually, to completely redesign said mirror, they would have to come up with a smaller electric motor and that translate to more investment for them.
So they pass on that.
Still better than what's out now, but not great IMO.

it all depends...lets just say it should be around $250-400; I got a much better deal because Pascal is just awesome and a great friend.......body shops in my area wanted $250-400....good luck

That's just it...
The brought the retro look with the S197 thoroughly, except..............the mirrors.
Lol!
I was trying to market mine with Ford two years ago at SEMA, with or without the keyless pad option. We canned the idea because of the tooling expenses.
Anyway, the Motorsport people told me that the engineers screwed up royally with the design...
In fact, the were afraid that it would turn people off if they came up with a bullet style or something too obvious.
I was laughing politely and pointed out that the whole car was reminiscent of the 60s.
Too bad and too late now...

These are painted your color and stick on with the 3M type tape. So, they overlap your factory mirror cover making two layers of plastic. I can take a pic tomorrow if U would like it (shows how it looks from the car).
Your car would have no down time at a body shop. The ones for 85 only cover the top half and don't look as good, I don't think.
