07 Shelby GT

07 Shelby GT
I've been looking at various Mustangs for a while. Basically I've been doing my home work and waiting for "the one" to come along.
Today I looked at a SGT at a high end used car dealer. It's a 2007 with 730 miles (not a typo). It's white with the silver stripe. Car is perfect as one would expect. Apparently it was taken as trade on a Jag. Previous owner bought it as an "investment" and it didn't pan out. The car dealer deals in late model European cars and said his bottom like price was $25K which is what he says he took it for. He says he only kept it because it had 730 miles, otherwise he would have sent it to auction and in his words, "I just need it gone."
Seems like a good price or not?

No it's a just a "Shelby GT". It has the appearance stuff, exhaust, cold air intake, modified engine tune, hurst shifter, 3.55 rear, and minor suspension tweaking.
I did test drive it. This was the first time I have driven a Mustang and I have never experienced a Hurst Shifter before either. I found it to be a great match and really fun. Call me a rookie but the car has more power than I thought it would have. Guess I'm just used to driving heavier vehicles.

$25K is a very nice price for a SGT with that low amount of miles on it. I've been pricing a few out here in the LA area and I found a Black '07 with 7,000 miles on it for $24K(but it was an automatic ). I don't think a SGT will bottom out much further than maybe the high teens in price if the car is maintained properly. Good luck!

Look at the aggressive stance of the Shelby GT compared to the GT500 from the factory! ....If the GT500 had that look, hands down winner! ...they sit way too high in the back from the factory!
Also, a local car show I attended this summer, a White Shelby GT took 1st place over 5 GT500's in the same class! Go figure! ...Shelby does some real nice things with the GT's (Springs, Hood Pins, Front Grill) that sets this car apart IMO...White with those silver stripes = sweeeeeet!
