Whipple 2.9L Kit is Alive!!

The 2.9L is alive!!!!!

First full pull, 653rwhp, 16.5psi, 3.25" SC pulley, 16deg timing, 11.2:1 AF. 598rwtq with motor at 185deg F. Needs to be leaned up and given a bit more timing as well as get the temps down, should be around 675rwhp with 3.25" pulley, 91 octane when done. No fan running in front of motor and the dyno room is 87deg F.

thats on my future mod list an upgraded supercharger. I am now torn between the TVS and the Whipple 2.9 however I want to see some other peeps try out the whipple and report first...that is unless of course Jared wants to give me one to be a tester???

seriously though I am waiting to see some more results on the whipple 2.9 before I render my final decision....it does look pretty though.,...

i dunno if i will ever do the supercharger... my next big money mod are wheels... AM primes... then maybe more power?

If I do win the Lotto I will have many GT500's all with different Whipples and pulley options....why you might ask?.....because I can...

Jared- I moved one of the threads from the S197 handling section to the 2010 section for the 2010 GT500 with the 2.9L on it! great stuff...keep us posted!
