Still if you are $1500 per year, it sounds like it might be about 2x.
I know some of you had questions on the difference in insurance rates. I went online and checked my State Farm account.

I had an 06 GT premium convertible and my rates were $486 a year.

My 2010 GT500 has HID and a Shaker 1000 and my new rates are $716 a year. That's an increase of 47.33%.

Hope that helps.

Congrats on the car, yeah my 2010 GT not a 500 just a plain V8 GT Priemium is less than what my Toyota Corolla was which got *** ended and totalled, why I got the new Stang, but can you agree, that much $$ for that nice a car and they can't paint the stripes on and seal, they have to put a warning label to not spray at car wash with the wand?

Complete difference from my 06 GT! The handling and power can't even compare. I had a Corsa exhaust on the GT and was planning on putting something similiar on the GT500, but after hearing the stock exhaust on the GT500 I like it better than Corsa.

Broke the engine in by putting 100 miles on it and then drove it like I stole it. After giving the blower a workout I pulled it into my garage and noticed smoke cominig out of the hood vent. I almost had a heart attack but realized it was just the paint baking on the blower. I couldn't get a good hookup with the tires and had significant wheel spin in 1st through 3rd but that's probably the cool weather, as it was 25 degrees. I'll try it out in the spring with some warmer weather. The manual says that they don't perform that well under 40 degrees.

In short, I'm a little kid again and am having fun with my mid-life crisis.

Here's a link to some pics; can't figure out how to pin them to this post.

I got mine is sept, added cdc dead pedal, steeda tune, and to stop the wheel hop some steeda rear lower control arms.

The exhaust does sound good but you will miss the corsa after a while, I ordered Corsa extremes last month and they are sitting in the box until spring here in MI.

The mod bug will any stay away for a short time! ENJOY!

Damn I love the '10 GT500's. The nose is really aggressive and the rear spoiler does a great job of balancing out the rear-end that's so bottom heavy on the GT/V6. Congrats on the great buy, have fun!
EDIT: And those wheels look great, especially for being stock

Yeah, i don't have a GT500 and my insurance is $1,500 every 6 months at Progressive probably because Im 18. I read in the manual your suppose to drive easy for first 1,00 miles i think it said to break in the engine properly. But aye it's a 500 if something goes wrong you take it back and they fix it.
