TSB 10-3-8

Interesting stuff, this thread.
In the end I pussed out on the deal and decided to keep the GT. Between the transmission TSB and the fact I would have to kiss off my brand new wheels (which I like very much) it just pushed me over the edge.
I guess I'll just have to get a whipple and be happy with that. Save up for an aluminator after the whipple is paid for.
I appreciate all the info guys.

I will swing over your way sometime this summer Rip...Like to see your car and the area...
As for any future problems with the clutch I dont really care if I have to drop in a Spec later on...I really love my Shelby...it is simply an incredible fun machine...I enjoy the fact that pretty much all the cars on the road are Snake Snackys...I very much enjoy taunting the Camaros around here!! LMAO

Yeah we might have a race track this summer after all out at Acton. Get some drag radials and come on over!
The transmission TSB alone wasn't enough to put me off. It was a big concern because I didn't want to get stuck footing the bill on a clutch for a car that I just bought and could already barely afford to pay off in 3 years. But I really like my wheels... They are featherweight 18s, look pretty good (IMO), and I had just bought them. They are significantly better than the stock Shelby wheels and I just didn't want to turn around and sell my 3rd set of wheels right after paying $1300 for them.

My dealer says NO if there are no symptoms, And the TSB clutch will not last nearly as long because it cannot handle as much abuse also that if you drive the car as it should be you most likely won't have a problem?? BS who knows?? But temps here are not nearly like down south and traffic is not heavy most of the time and I know owners with 20 plus thousand on there cars and never had any issues yet.
