Enabling Backup Camera in a 2011 GT500...?
Hello all,
I am a few days away from picking up my new car and I have been driving a Lincolm MKS with the backup cam which I really love and want for my GT500.
I have been looking high and low for a straight answer to my question:
Is it possible to, without the use of Lock-Pick or other aftermarket mods, to enable backup camera features in a 2010-2011 GT500 similar to the Mustang GTs with the same feature?
I have read of people flashing the sync nav system of their f150 Supercabs without cameras using the data of another F150 Platinum with that feature built in and when completed, the Nav system has that feature enabled. The problems is they are flashing an F150 with the data from another F150.
I was wondering if you could flash the GT500 nav with the nav setup of a Mustang GT which has the camera feature and enable it in the Shelby.
Thoughts anyone? Has anyone tried it?

I just ordered this kit online to install a back up camera on my 2011 GT. It's an aftermarket camera, and a kit called a lock pic, all plug and play. I will be installing this weekend. I'll let you know how it turns out. Here's the link: http://www.coastaletech.com/synclockpick.htm
This will enable back up camera capabilites, and enable the DVD player to work while in motion, not that you'd want to watch TV while driving, but if you have headrest monitors, you'll be able to run them.
