Default 2011 GT500 prices

I was out looking at a GT500 convertible the other day. Evidently it was the dealership's owners car and he was willing to sell it. I did not purchase the car but was wondering if it was normal that people pay full MSRP for cars like that. They did not tack on several thousands of dollars on top of the MSRP but were not willing to budge off it. Plus they only offered $23,000 for my 2010 GT convertible. I have just started looking around so I was interested in what to expect.

Most dealers or sellers are not willing to budge on the prices. If they do its only a little bit. If you look at truecarvalue.com most of these cars are selling above MSRP. However i am sure you can get one cheaper its just finding a dealer that is willing to sell it to make room for more. However they know these cars are good sellers so if they dont get you to pay it someone else will eventually.

I live in Southern Cali and all the dealers within 50 mile radius from my house charges 5k over the MSRP (Market Adjustment BS). I had to drive farther than 50 miles to find a dealer to sell it at MSRP. I got mine at 49k without SVT package. I do not think they can be sold below MSRP at this time. Maybe at the end of the year or when the 2012 and Boss models start showing up.

Also keep in mind that Ford limited production of the '11 GT500 to 5500 cars. Production has probably already ended for it, so if you want one, you'd better get it while you still can. Just ask yourself which would make you feel better, paying (above) sticker for a used one or paying (above) sticker for a new one? There might be someone out there that paid below sticker for a new (2011) one, but it would be extremely uncommon.

After reading the posts and checking carvalues.com it seems that they offered me a fair price for what the market is on the car.

Mine was used, but very slightly and i got it for about 48k, it was 55k sticker new, and the orginal owner payed 58k... Its totally possible to get one used, the new ones are almost all gone however.

I picked mine up in Hardeesville 2 weeks ago. 3K under invoice out the door. Just the way I wanted it. The deal was simple, decent guys to work with.
1000% satisfied with the car!
