Default GT 500 License Plate

Texae does requirre two plates. However go to the DPS web site and look up the law for mounting of plates. Texas does not require that the front plate be mounted just faceing forward. You can always print it out and try to explain it to an officer if pulled but you can present it to the judge in court and he might just ask the officer why he is reading in to what the law says.

I have one. Fantastic product. No drill, leaves no marks on car (it sits off of the paint, attaches behind bumper via pressure), and in the year and a half I've had it, it hasn't budged.

The cheap plastic cover I bought at Autozone did get cracked but I replaced it by cutting a 3/8" piece of Lexan to fit. It is absolutely bulletproof now!
+1.. I think I have the same retractable plate holder, it definately helps protect my gt/cs front bumper, and no holes drilled on the front bumper.

Thanks Shonole!

Right now there are dozens of Mustang owners laying down under the front of their cars, peeking at the underside of the bumper!
Count me as one of them!

They make them for the Shelby GT front end, so should also fit the GT/CS, as they have the same front spoilers.

To the OP, I work for a local Ford dealer here in Jersey where they mandate front license plates, I actually PDIed a new 2012 GT500 today and they do not ship front plate brackets with the Shelby only wheel locks and antenna and my boss/owner will not allow me to put brackets on them reguardless if they did ship me a bracket that also goes for any saleen or roush that comes to us, so you might get lucky

Search Retractable license plates. I just put one on from American Muscle. be careful one is autolock which flips down will drag the ground the other one slides out and then pops up. this one works well. once you find the type you want search for best price some for the corvette will also fit. prices range from 130 to about 160 your choice. some sites have demo on the plates.
