Question 07-09 Flywheel/Clutch TSB question.

I am having no symptoms so far.
Only 5k mi. on the 08 though.

It is a daily driver.

Here's my question.
I have heard from some that this TSB problem is inevitable and WILL happen and usually before you hit 40k mi. on multiple forums.

I have also had some tell me the issue although common, is not an epidemic and does not always happen.

Anyone know which is the truth?
This thing has me pretty worried. Especially given some people are having syncro problems and having to get new trannies.

I have the best ESP plan there is but you never know what dealerships will try to pull.

Diving habits and heat conditions and city traffic will determine most of it, also there were 2 different updates of the clutch from 07-09, don't be a worry wart and drive her, if there is a problem it is covered under esp.

Hey Smoke My 08 has 9800 miles and the stock clutch is fine so far...BTW most of the miles are just crusing around town...little tire smoking now and then...lot of stop and go...but I also know the proper way to not heat up a clutch...

There are people here in the NCMA that have big miles and small miles on there cars with no clutch issues, My friend has an 07 Supersnake 725hp with hard miles a quarter at a time with the original clutch/trans and no issues

Good to hear!
I don't race mine either and mine is city driving.
Only 5k mi. so far but that was because the original owner kept her as a garage queen only. It's a daily driver here.
Been sick though so could not drive it for a while.

But I'm glad I purchased the BEST TSB plan there is.
To those that say an extended warranty is a waste, I say B.S.
These types of issues are EXACTLY what makes them worth it.

So if it ever DOES come up, I'll be covered.
And I'm building back up proof just in case a dealership tries to pull any crap.
Such as copies of receipts from people that have had it covered under warranty.
Always good to be prepared folks!
