Question Serious Inquries on Short Throws for a 08GT500

When we had our 06GT we got a MGW and we LOVED IT.
We did not give a rat's *** about warranty.

But with the GT500 we went as far as to get an extended warranty in case we had the flywheel/clutch issue that our dealership said they would cover it it happened if we bought the extended warranty.
Over 1k but well worth it since out of pocket the TSB gets to be around 5k.

We want to keep the car as stock as possible until the extedend warranty expires but I just CANT let go of the feeling of that short throw.

I know a guy at our Ford house. We are really good friends and he is very leaniant on mods. Hell my buddy has a ported blower with a 100 shot and changed the gears and they are going to change his gears back to stock hopefully with warranty.

My question is this.
If he ok's me getting a short throw what should I get?
Is MGW still the best even with the GT500?
What about Barton and the SSnake shifter?
Those are the only two I am unfamiliar with.

I would like one with good options as far as customizable and would like to adjust the **** to at LEAST 35%.

Suggestions?
Also... would the S Snake short throw be covered under warranty and not void my extended since it is Ford?

Thanks as always Folks!

I'd like a short throw for my 2007 GT500, as well, but I'm hesitant because the factory Hurst short throw in my 2007 Shelby GT was very stiff and even made my back sore after alot of driving. I'm curious to know what shifters you guys recommend, too.

I personally love my ford racing KR short throw shifter.. It was installed by dealer and didn't hurt warranty at the time... Very smooth and no play

Get the Ford Racing, which is made by Hurst anyway

The Hurst on my 2007 Shelby GT was extremely hard to shift... Is your FRPP by Hurst the same way? Or is it different than the one offered in Vegas for the Shelby GT?

Thank you

It is knotchy like the original but by no means stiff. Nice short throws and precise. Not the same shifter as the Shelby GT
