Default What could cause a vibration if not tire balance?

Me again...

i just bought 2011 GT500 a few weeks ago from a dealer. There car has an audible vibration between 45-65. A say audible, because i can't really feel it, but can hear it. It has 6000 miles on the orginal Eagle F1 Supercar tires... the dealer has put it on a roadforce machine and corrected an issue with two of the tires, but i can still hear the vibration.

What else could it be? Should i just get new tires? I really hate to spend $1600 bucks and still have the problem!

I've taken it to dealer twice... and it appears they are not in the habit of actually driving the car to listen for this sort of thing before deciding if they have fixed it. Is this normally the case...

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...

thanks
jonathan

I would do the roadforce again on all 4 tires...and swap sides...mine had a little wear pattern that took driving and 2 re balances to get out...

The driveshaft can make rotational noise and vibration that appears to be the wheels or tires, but can actually be the driveshaft. Erik

hmm... someone else mentioned this as well... but i guess i won't know till i put on new tires... I just wonder if the dealer will be willing to admit it might be the driveshaft that his causing the noise... and be willing to replace it...

Have it diagnosed at the dealer and then you can go from there!

forgive me for asking, but I didn't see where it was mentioned...is your car a coupe or convertible?

You say you can't really feel it....but when you do, where? Steering wheel, seat, etc..
