Default 2010 GT500 w/BAMA Tune

I have a stock 2010 GT500. Birthday is coming up and wanted to do something simple and relatively cheap. The BAMA Tune caught my eye as it sets you up for doing other mods like the CAI next.

Has anyone else done a BAMA Tune only on their stock GT500? Just wondering what real difference you felt it made. Thanks for any feedback! Stephen

yes you could get the tune but it would be more beneficially to get a cold air intake as well i believe american muscle sells a kit with intake and tuner im sure bama probably has same type of deal too. exhaust also would be a good edition and to really wake things up get new pulley

Bama is a great choice for tuning your GT500.

Stephen,

You're going to love a Bama SF3 tuner for your Snake. Typically, your car will make 472rwhp / 438rwtq bone stock and see a 55-60rwhp / 40-45 rwtq gain with a Bama tune alone. This puts you around 527+ rwhp! With all of the mods listed, depending on which pulley you run, a total of 125rwhp gain is very practical.

Suspension mods is a good idea too. Power is useless if you can't stick to the pavement! I highly suggest an adjustable pan-hard bar and some subframe connectors from BMR, to really help out.

If you have any questions, let me know!

Shane

Stephen, long time no see man! Glad to see you are starting to mod the Shelby. You need to hook up with some of us in the Carolina forum again for the next time we hit the dragon in the fall.

Call VMP and get a tune and 2.4" pulley, CAI if you so desire (JLT 123mm or 127mm "big air"), and IF you are going to be doing any suspension mods go with BMR LCAs. If you have any questions shoot me a PM and I will be glad to tell you what little bit I know.

Hey Steve!
I have been lurking, just super busy...any chance you might be going to the 1/2 mile side by side shoot out in Clayton GA on the 22nd of Sep? Not far from you guys.
I plan to go and it would be great to see you and some of the other NC guys? Wasn't sure if you might be participating????

Oh wow! I didn't even know anything about it. Do they have a website or something?? I am getting ready to put a clutch in the Shelby (finally smoked the stock one) so I am not sure if the car will be ready. Even if the cars not ready I might come down just to check it out. If you have any details or links for the event send them to me and I will see what my schedule is looking like.
