I have some questions. I placed an order for a deep impact blue gt500 3 weeks ago. I was wondering how long did it take for the people who order one to find out if and when the car was going to be built. I haven't got confirmation that the car was being built yet. I am starting to worry about it after 3 weeks with no word yet.

I ordered my car shortly after the banks opened back in March and got the car in May (one of the very first few delivered) but that's not been the norm across teh country.

I hate to say it, but ordering this late you need to make sure your dealership had an actual allocation.

If they have already recieved one and said you were their second, there is a good chance you'll be waiting till 14 to get another.

Average wait times from order placed to delivery have been in the 3-4 months range, and by that time from now, you are into the '14 range of production.

My advice is talk to the GM of the dealership you ordered from. See if they have an allocation not yet filled from the '13 order banks, and if so, then you're find. If not...well... hard to say.

I rambled there, I apologize.

Talk to dealer. Ensure they have an unfilled allocation that they KNOW is showing up.
If they can't tell you, we have X allocation guaranteed to us, then you are probably not going to get it filled till next year.

There are still lots of '13s sitting on lots with Additional Dealer Markups...search using some sites to find them and see if they're willing to come back to reality yet *MSRP*

Thanks for all the help. Does anyone think they will change the car for 2014 model. I am just worried they not going to have them after the 13's or gone. Rumors are already starting about this being the last Shelby. But still make the cobra. I am going to wait another week then check around for another dealer.

Shelby is actually signed even longer than 14 with ford . 14 will be same as 13...15 will be new platform

Ok. I am less stressed now. I was so worried about not getting one and hated to go out and pay 70k or more for one with all the goodies when I can get one for MSRP if I order. Thanks for all the info. Can't wait to get one.
