Building a new snake

Building a new snake
That replicates my current GT500 so I can put it in the window on the dash at car shows
I'll post pics through the build. Winter project I guess since I only get to drive the real thing right now maybe once a week.
Haha then looking at the pics I realized that I mixed up the matte with the semi gloss during some touch up work so I need to go fix that. I can't see it with my naked eye, but knowing it's there will bother me.

Dropped the motor and radiator in...lol
Fitting the exhaust
New oil filter
Setting up the front end. I had to "weld" in a temporary custom spacer bar because on this build the front end springs float so they need to be 1 3/4" apart. Yeah, it's weird, but it works so when I fit to the front rack they will be vertical to engineer spec.
Starting to build out interior.
What? Someone dropped some change by the console? Always good to find loose change!
Installing the drivetrain, but at this point I start realizing there's something wrong. Can't put my finger on it.
Oh yeah. Heat shielding.
Ended up taking out drivetrain, suspension and exhaust to "install" the heat shielding.

Got the brakes ready for install. Yes, those are itsy bitsy Brembo logos.
Got the undercarriage all done too. The brush strokes aren't visible to my naked eye, so Im not going to do any more touch up on the bottom. Except maybe the mufflers. That aluminum paint is junk so I'll either go matte black or silver so the finish is more consistent.
Full rear suspension

I work in IT, 24x7 shop that really needs about 6 admins but we only have 4. One his last day is this Friday, another is resigning today and then yesterday I was told the third is going on FMLA. That leaves me to cover a 24x7 shop. On the way home after work, a rock broke the windshield in my pickup. This morning the dog is being really annoying wanting out so I took her outside, come back in to find the cat has found the decal sheet for this and is chewing the **** out of it. My build is now on hold. I would say FML, but these are all first world problems. At least Im not eating flies and to drinking juice from camel's dung to stay hydrated.
