10% Overdrive pulley incombo with 2.6
Hey Everyone, for my 08 GT500... I have been kicking around the idea of adding a 10% overdrive pulley with my already installed 2.6 pulley on my stock Eaton. I know this will spin the Eaton pretty fast and add a good amount of heat. I have ported and polished the stock TB and have the upgraded intake elbow, also the larger aluminum intercooler reservoir tank...stock injectors and fuel delivery...110mm JLT CAI...I am looking for thoughts and experiences of anyone who is running this setup...any draw backs or problems. I am running a Brenspeed tune for the Stage 2 package in place, they said no problem with the set up and tuning, I just would like to get more info if possible...This car is my PRIDE & JOY and I don't track it...just get on it now and then when an open road presents itself or a Ricer gives me crap! Mostly drive around town and on road trips...so any downside? I most wish just to have the dyno numbers "this is it's capabilities" for popping it in a show now and then and a little extra brag rights LOL...

The one thing that jumps out at me is that, now all accessories will also be spinning 10% faster, putting more load on them, and possibly causing more parasitic HP loss, as well as the extra wear and tear on said parts.

The accessories will not be spinning faster. The 10% lower has the stock diameter for the accessory drive belt. Only the supercharger get overdriven. Will it produce more heat, yes. Will it be too much heat... NO. Get an aftermarket dual fan heat exchanger and you will be fine, if you plan on running your car you should have one anyway, they really help with heat soak.
Just my opinion, but don't waste your time and money on a port. Save up for a larger blower. The most you will make with a ported stock eaton is a touch over 600rwhp. Buy a take off 2013 trinity blower or pick up a used VMP TVS for a good deal and don't look back.
