every single zo6 owner says a z06 will smoke a new saleen. absolutely not. it will not smoke a saleen it will beat it. if it has the 3.55 rear end option it will be close right? how heavy is a saleen? how much lighter is a z06 than a saleen?405 hp vs 375 hp= measly 40hp difference. simple mods to saleen to get 400 at crank isnt to hard and then it should run with z06? how do u lose some pounds on the saleen? please post your opionin i mean z06 owners say were not even in there league give me a break ********!

well maybe thats what the Z06 "********" meant. A stock Saleen won't but yeah a modded one will. I think it would run right with the Z06. Hmmm about the lightening, you could take out your seats if they are leather and get cloth interior, take out things u don't need. It all depends on if you want a racing machine or a sound machine, if you have a sound system, i'd say lose it. those subs are pretty heavy. hmmm, take out the back seats? Get different rims, aluminum if possible or just get racing rims, steelys or someting. Do some homework on Google or something. I think 40 HP is a big whoopty-do, BUT HP isn't everything, the Driver is everyhting. Cars won't drive themselves. unless maybe an auto, lol!

Dude, are you insane? a Z06, my friend, hard to say it, will definetely smoke your 'stock' saleen. It's the s-281 right, not the s-281-E? Go to the video part of this forum and somewhere there is a NA fireturd or something eating up an s-281... I am not dissin' on your saleen, they are fine pieces of automobile, but z06's haul ***.. Now if you have an s281-E, you can hands down, smoke a stock z06.

um, i looked up your specs and i don't think u have a chance. what type do u have? the SC saleen runs a 13.4, a Z06 is much faster. BUT the race would be fun, go and do it. I'd raace hime just for the challenge and adrenaline rush.

not really, i've seen a lighter 250hp car beat a 300hp car that was heavier, so be careful! the Z06 is lighter so u would have to lighten urself up a little.

I have an SC281 & I SMOKED an 01 Vette. I have not come across a Z06 but I am sure I will give him run for his $$ . If not supercharged I seriously doubt you could win, a non-SC Saleen has no engine mods done, just suspension. Mine (pre-mods) had 365 at the flywheel (325-330 @ wheels if Im lucky).The Driver has A LOT to do with it as well.

Rico, according to specs shouldn't you have beat the vette by like two cars? not "smoked" him? but everyones opinion of "smoked" if different, I DUNNO! and ur right DRIVER IS EVERYTHING!

yea i know non sc would get aniliated as for the specs 13.4 is an understatement i know it. thats for the 3.08 rear end gearing. i have 3.55. and im supercharged so i gotaa run a 13.0 maybe less. driver does count alot i know and ive driven some fast cars. thanx for ure 2 cents guys.

A lot of you guys live in a dream world. A stock S-281 has no chance against a Saleen. The new Cobra makes 420ish hp at the flywheel and is still .5 second behind a stock ZO6. The S-281e is rated at 12.94 by SALEEN ITSELF, it also has no chance at winning with equal drivers at the wheel. There's a thing called google guys, learn to use it.
