My 02 Saleen made 555RWHP with the Kenne Bell and a very soft tune(only 2 hours on Engine When Tuned on Dyno).

I was running 17 pounds of boost. The Bottom end is all forged aftermarket items. The motor is a 32 valve with SHM blower cams. Had to stop the run at 6000 due to a drop in fuel pressure. Working on that problem.

isn't it better to have forged internals? Don't they make the engine stronger internally? That would make your car last longer... putting stress like that on a stock engine wouldn't be wise would it? Just asking a few questions

forged internals and boost go hand in hand. when you add atmosphere, you add stress. anything over 10 psi on a stock bottom end is a time bomb

The bottom end has Billet Rods and the Pistions have -17cc Pistons with a compression Ratio of about 8.40. With this combination, the bottom end should handle 20 to 25 Pounds of boost with no problem. You have to be very careful with the tune (AF ratio and timing advance). A good safe tune for the street should keep me out of trouble and still make over 550 RWHP.
P.S. Good 93+ octain gas to.

Glad you clarified the set up you're running leroyconne. Not many of us can afford a SALEEN Cobra let alone a forged DOHC.[8D]

A forged engine is built with a particular purpose in mind - supporting a lot of stress brought on by a super or turbo charger.
A stock engine if maintained well (regualr oil/filter and plug changes) can survive +200K miles, to include some 1/4mi abuse.
RedDevilGT- just pointing out a forged motor is also louder than you avg stock motor.

It has taken many, many years of very hard work (I am 61) to get to the point that I could afford this kind of Car. I am enjoying every minute of it. The car has been a absolute joy for me and I enjoy doing mods to it. I am looking into the new 6.0 Liter Block that SHM just came out with. Cubic Inches is all these motors need. Maybe next year.
Thanks
