Just don't drive when you're tired.

If I get a little tired now, I pull over and take a 30 minute nap. You'd be suprised how tired you are when you pull over, you just CRASH. Your body needs it badly, and I'd rather be late and alive than in a ditch again.

P.S. it's best not to take naps longer than 45 minutes long, your body thinks it'd going to sleep and makes you more tired. Courtisy of Schnieder's International Trucking Company (buddy when through Class A CDL training with them).

^ Yep, they say a 30 min nap is equivalent to an 2 hour nap. You won't be drowsy after you wake up from the 30 min nap like you would from say..a 2 hour nap.

But how do you know to wake up after 30 mins? Bring an alarm clock? <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley1.gif border="0">
