I live in Irvine, not too far from the Saleen facility, and I saw my first PJ on the road today, heading on the 405 north. He revved it a little as he passed me (I let him

), and it sounded really great. We both headed onto another freeway onramp and as I caught up with him and passed I notice a really thick cable out the passenger window and to the hood (I think to the hood, didn't get to really trace it driving). My guess is a newly built PJ on a test ride, not sure.

We waved at each thought as I passed him.

Very nice car.

That really thick cable is used to connect the PCM to a computer used for testing purposes, sometimes located in the back seat of a test car. My car was a Saleen prototype, and theback seat was filled with a stack of computers connected with a thick black cable to the engine bay. My guess is they were driving a test mule.
