Default Series V and VI blowers

This might be a dumb question but can a Series V and VI blower kit replace a series IV?

Tim....you should be good to go with a Series V. This is the supercharger on mine....believe the only difference between a Series IV and V is that the Series Vis ported, etc...

Not sure if the Series VI will bolt on though.....seems to me they made a little less boost stock though....so maybethey're designed for 3 valve breathing.

Tim, The series 4 blower is a Lysholm screw rotor supercharger andis a 1.6L . The Series 5 isthe same blower , except it is larger...2.3L. It also produces more boost....smaller pulley. Saleen no longer offers the series 5 blower.

Casey,

Isn't really more boost... bigger pulley on the V. My came with a 4" pulley making 10lbs. That's wagon wheel big.

Your right about the "wagon". The series 5 does make for boost than the series 4 though.

Yeah, I hear you. I think Birdieman (does he still post here?) was running a 3" pulley for 18lbs of boost. Nice.

Casey what size is the VI series blower. All I know is that its a twin screw design. How much max boost is the VI series capable of?

The Series VI is 2.3L, and I have heard the max is 14 PSI. I'm running 10 PSI with the 3.4" pulley and making around 465hp
