I've read around here that a Roush charger is very "safe" and puts out a bit less hp than other blowers. It looks like the system uses the factory air box. Does that rob any potential hp? Could you replace the Roush intake with a CAI kit from C&L or another reputable manufacturer?

Of course. You would just have to have your PCM reflashed to get all the potential out of the CAI.

Agreed ... although ROUSH was rumored to release thier own ... that may be a while. The hp increase will be marginal at best, I'm sure. Greater impact would also include a pulley swap wih that re-tune too.
I'd confirm from the vendor it will fit the ROUSHCharger application.
