the s281 is 325hp, the s281sc is 400hp with 420tq, and the s281E is 500hp and 475tq.

My S281 SC with the chrome wheels & P Rossa tires had a base price of about 47k with a 1k dealer mark-up.

The msrp of the S281SC is $46,000 and some change, with the chrome wheels and high performance tires your over $48,000 without dealer markup.

I just priced out a new S/C yesterday. 51K. Thats with the upgraded brakes, wheels and tires, and stereo.

www.saleen.com you can find the price list in there. The link is on the left side of the page in a PDF format. The S281sc does not have forged internals. The E has forged internals

Thanks, smed. I will look at the site again. Part of my question re: the forged internals is that I am debating between the 281sc or modding the GT.
