My dealer received a printout for his first batch of SC's today, and he also called Saleen to confirm. He's to have a shipment of 4 cars by the end of the month. He even received the serial numbers for the 4 cars. Mine's the fourth one on the transport. I also received my final M.S.R.P. and which options it will come with.

First, the bad news. All SC's are coming with a $1,000 gas guzzler tax on top of sticker. All options are available except for the Super Cooling. Maybe that won't be necessary on the 05's since they're running a little less than 5 lbs of boost. These 4 cars are coming out of California to a Michigan dealer instead of out of Troy. Probably because I've ordered the Rainbow Extreme paint option. He thought they probably wanted to do the first ones out there. Of interest is the fact that Saleen is going to use a silver car for the base instead of black as before (and yes, they are painting the engine compartment).

Even if they are delayed a few weeks, it looks like the end is in site!

How can Saleen add a gas guzzler tax after they set the price. This was not something i planned on paying, will the dealer eat this expence.
