hey guys im trying to find info on saleens cause im interested in buying one. i dunt even knwo what the s281 stands for lol? whats the diff between a 96 saleen and a regular GT??? i was interestedin igettin one and i found this one

Now, i'm no saleen associate but these are my thoughts:

The s281...281 stands for the engine displacement (cc).
Now for the difference in the 96 vs. a gt? If they are both GT the differences are minimal. They're both V8 32 vavle 4.6 liter..and 281 displacement (not positive on that).

That car you're lookin at looks nice. Good lookin car, decent miles, well taken care of, legitimate saleen, resonable price. For the mods it has on it, on top of the crate engine (referring to a engine seperately shipped and installed on the ford chassis and body).

I believe the 96 had a two valve motor unless it is a cobra which is a four valve motor.How many miles on this car?Looks pretty sweet why was the motor replaced?As far as the difference between the GT and a Saleen is the saleen has ground effects,Saleen suspension,Borla exhaust,Shorty headers,18 inch rims,Saleen hood depending on the options,Dash guage pods with boost and fuel pressure,Saleen shocks and springs,Reflashed computer,Saleen brakes(option)and I'm sure I've missed something but the saleen has all the goodies everyone adds on when they by a GT
