That new Z06 is a monster, and when supercharged...you my as well kiss your @$$ goodbye! I went to Milan dragstrip last summer and seen a Procharged Z06 run 9's all day long and the car had lots of problems hooking up!

The Z 06's just keep going and going all the way to 190mph, they are amazing machines for the money. Erik

Get the 550 upgrade and you should be able to hang with or maybe even pull past a stock z06. If you can't get by him with that then just get a forged shortblock with the E upgrade and you will blow his doors off! I would like to see a stock s302 Extreme(620 hp) vs.a stock z06(505 hp) in the 1/4 mile. I raced a new z51 on the freeway when my car was stock and it was almost dead even. He might have gotten me by about half a car length if we would have gone past 120.

It will pull on you. Get about 500 rwhp and you will be able to pull on it. Difficult to do with a saleen blower though.

Unfortunately the 4.6 stroked will not last long running full out-something it would need to do in order to try to run with a Z06. The cylinder walls are too thin and cannot withstand the heat generated by the higher piston speeds of the stroked car. Once the cylinder walls start to distort you can kiss it all goodbye. Based on driveline inefficiencies and aerodynamic package I think a Z06 would run with the Saleen to a point and walk away from it after that point. I chased trying to get to C5Z06 status for a couple years but would have been much further ahead had I just bought the real deal rather than trying to be the real deal.

I agree that the two cars are both on different levels in the performance category. I just got rid of my C5Z to get an 06SC Saleen too. You need the 550 kit to come close to a C5Z, forget about a C6Z.....I can say that the Saleen us much easier to drive though. I am enjoying it much more. Not to mention how rare the car is, and all of the conversations it sparks up.

Well i see it's time to put my 2 cents in....... i don't have a saleen s/c my car is procharged.... as far as a c5 corvette i can eat them for lunch all day.... c6 not sure and zo6 not sure.... but last year i did... and i'm proud to say... I ate up a lamborghini gallardo...

With 465 Rwhp you should have no problem with a C6, you could hang with a Z but not for long.

I don't normally call people out, but I guarantee you this is not true. It is not an easy task getting a C6 Z06 into the 11's stock. It can be done, but with a driver mod.
