I already own Ford stock and am accumulating more. It may take a couple years to bounce back but the Ford brand is an American icon, they pay dividends (well ok those have been suspended for now), and their price/book is low at just over 2.2.

Saleen stock? No thanks.

Saleen is owned by Hancock Park Associates a private equity firm our of LA. There are only a couple ofprivate equity firms that are public so don't hold you breath on an IPO and if it ever did come out I would recommend shorting it looking at the recent performance of BX and KKR.

Yeah, stock price is pretty much unchanged which means that is neutral news financially. F has taken just about as much of a beating it can and if it keeps going lower then it is just an even better bargain.

I see this move as another sign they are shedding some dead weight to turn the ship. It is a big ship though so it will turn slowly.

True, true. From what I heard, they plan to sell off almost everything. I think they want to hold on to Volvo?

Oh, and GM is thinking about using a 4 banger turbo in the Camero [:-]

Lol. Saleen stock as if.

Oh well. You know, I can't even imagine that. You are better off going to Vegas with blinders on.

Put it in a no-load, low-fee SP500 Index Fund.
