Default Help with 3rd gear!!!

Good day everybody.
Hey i just a question about a little problem i got. I know some people think that saleen87 has many problems on his pony, but I think than workingon a saleen, is worth-it all the way. Even if tha means putting a new 4.6 engine simply "a saleen is a saleen", anyways. The problem is that when im crusin on 3rdgear like at about30-40 mph, the car starts to shake very, very smooth, like in a 2 second gap. Thatjust happenson 3rd gear. Any suggestions????

Your question is kinda hard to understand, but will give it a go. Sounds like a balance issue with flywheel or clutch, but would shake at ANY speed with the same RPM...... Nevermind, I don't understand your question [sm=wtf.gif]

jazzer confused

You're hitting the gaps in the road surface every 2 seconds.

ok this is what i mean... when im driving on 3rd gear, like at about 30-40 mph, the car starts to vibrate alittle bit, i feel the little vibration somewhere on the back. The rims are perfect, the tires as well.....What im guessing is that probably the problem is somewhere in the differential, but not 100% sure. Don't know what that could be, the car is stock,. i haven't add no shifter, gearsor anything. Like i said just on 3rd gear, does not do that on any othergear. By the way i just drive it on very good roads.

Sounds like another flat spot issue in tires. Has the car been sitting for a while undriven? See if the car does this at 30-40 MPH in 2nd gear or 4th gear. See if it is just a speed issue. I believe it is a rotating mass issue. Tire out of balance or flat spots in tire(s).
