Default RE: Oil-separators?

I am currently running two separators on my 06 right now. I found a fair amount of oil coating my throttle body so i installed a Stef's unit from the valve cover to the s/c thinking that would take care of it. I soon found oil pooling in my intake tube (in front of the t.b. but not on it), so i have a steeda unit inline from the valve cover to the intake tube(passenger side) as an experiment. So far, it is staying dry but the plastic bowl of the "cheap units" concerns me in relation to it cracking due to heat in the engine compartment. If i find oil in the steeda unit, it will be replaced immediately by a Stef's unit or something like it.

I've heard the "cheap" units usually do as good of a job as the $200ish ones.

How do you know when to empty the ones that are not clear?

Here is a pic of the intercooler after being pulled out.
nooooooo!

Unfortunately, I think our cars need the separator on both the driver and passenger side.
From what I have seen so far, I don't think there is a need for one.

Here are some pics to check out.

Now, there are 2 that show the typical oil collection in the t.b. and inlet tube. This is only after min. drive time/miles! The clean t.b. pic is with our oil seperator can installed!

The other pics are of the install on our car.
