I love the cheesy SALEEN manufacturing plate on the firewall.
You'd think for a million dollar car thay could come up with something a LITTLE different than what they put on a Mustang.

Actually, the car did not "blow up", and the car has always belonged to Saleen. Some former employees that installed the engine failed to tighten the coolent hose and it came off during the test run. Nothing was damaged on the car and it was repaired the next morning. It was actually driven yesterday in Troy by a potential buyer. Sorry if your information was incorrect.

Even the best run into mistakes, like failing crash certifications for low cost import cars right?
If you mean Brian Chambers special projects team and Chuck Kellys engine team who have been involved with Saleen for years when you speak of sunroof employees, then sure. I'm damn certain they can clamp a hose. Thanks for your interest!

If somebody buys that Oreca S7R they should be aware they are only buying the chassis that Oreca used. There are several obvious Oreca upgrades missing from that car and the livery isn't even correct. A collector would want those accurately represented otherwise it is just a S7R painted in Oreca colors. If Saleen are planning a swan song in ALMS they will need those upgrades, that are not apparent on the car Steve and person 'x' are testing in that other picture, to compete against Corvette Racing and Prodrive.
