Default BCMC - Saleen Inc Annual Show at Queen Mary

Good news for all of us who were disapointed the past year at the loss of the annual Saleen Show in SoCal. It's back, thanks to some hard work by Jon Schultz at Beach Cities Mustang club and Saleen Inc. Here is the notice Jon sent out to a few Saleen owners -

BCMC Members, Friends & Saleen Owners Everywhere...

About a week ago, we let you know that some big news would be coming. After hammering out the details, Saleen, Inc. and BCMC are excited to bring you the following press release, regarding Saleen joining BCMC at this year's Mustangs at the Queen Mary 12 on October 5, 2008.

Since moving their HQ to Troy, MI, Saleen no longer has the facilities here to host their annual Saleen Show. BCMC is helping pick up the slack by having Saleen Inc choose the Queen Mary show as their primary West Coast event for 2008.

By Tuesday afternoon (10/3), we will have 10-20 Saleen Classes added to our show. Saleen Inc will be there in force with the racing rig and they are working on bringing some very special guests (watch for the Big News, Part 3!!). You do not have to wait to enter, just choose the current single "Saleen" class, and we'll reclassify you next week. BE SURE to add up your points, as Saleens will be split by more modified/less modified.

We have extended the show's Pre-Registration Discount Deadline to September 9th, to accommodate the 100+ Saleens expected to attend. We are holding these spots until 9/10 for Saleen Owners. What this means if you own a Saleen, you'll want to register quick. What this means if you don't own a Saleen is that there are now only 25 spaces left for the show. No matter what your ride is, hurry and send your entry in before the show sells out!

Here is the official Press Release from Saleen Inc about the event -

SALEEN INC UNVEILING NEW PRODUCT AT QUEEN MARY MUSTANG SHOW
Long Beach, CA (August 28, 2008) – Saleen Inc will be partnering with the Beach Cities Mustang Club for this year’s
“Mustangs at the Queen Mary 12” show in Long Beach, CA. The show will take place Sunday, October 5th at the world
renowned Queen Mary ship. Further, Saleen is announcing that this will be their primary show this fall on the West Coast.
With the newly added Saleen classes, the show will feature over 100 show and award classes and over 200 trophies will be
awarded. There will be a variety of vendors and displays along with the reveal of a brand new Saleen product. Courtney
Hansen, host of Spike TV’s new show Great Rides, as well as PowerBlock, and former host of TLC’s Overhaulin’, will be
making an appearance at the event along with many other special guests. The event is free to spectators and all Mustang
owners and enthusiasts are encouraged to attend.
Along with the traditional festivities, this year’s event will feature Saleen Inc. as a title sponsor. Since the company’s
inception in 1984, Saleen has produced thousands of complete and EPA certified vehicles – more than any other specialty
automobile manufacturer. In addition, Saleen has equipped more than 600,000 vehicles worldwide, further emphasizing their
capabilities and commitment to excellence.
“We are highly anticipating the upcoming Queen Mary show and want to encourage Saleen owners to participate in this
exciting event. The Queen Mary show will give us the opportunity to have the chance to show off our products and unveil an
all-new Saleen vehicle that is sure to turn heads.” Said Mark Patrzik, newly appointed Vice President of Global Sales for
Saleen Inc.
During the past year, Saleen Inc. has been revitalizing their product lineup and creating powerful new products to compete in
the automotive market. They have unveiled several new products this year that have been creating quite a buzz, including the
Sterling Anniversary Edition, Dan Gurney Signature Edition and the highly acclaimed S5S Raptor concept unveiled at the
New York Auto Show in March. This past month they also launched an all new brand to be marketed under the Racecraft
nameplate. The Racecraft brand is true to performance, value and customization. SpeedLab adds to the Racecraft experience
by offering customers dozens of products to take their Racecraft vehicle to the next level of style and performance. The first
product for Racecraft is the 420 S, with 420HP and 400 ft. lbs. of torque, with a price point of $39,995.
“BCMC is very excited to have Saleen Inc. as part of the Queen Mary show this year. We are looking forward to the
unveiling of their new product and are honored they would choose our show for this momentous event,” said Jon Schultz,
President of the Beach Cities Mustang Club and Director of the Mustangs at the Queen Mary Show.
The Beach Cities Mustang Club is working hard to make this year’s event another huge success. Entering their 13th year,
BCMC is one of the nation’s largest Mustang clubs with over 600 active members. For more information on the club and to
pre-register please visit Official Website of the Beach Cities Mustang Club of Southern California. BCMC has extended the pre-registration discount for Saleen owners to September 9th.

Sounds pretty exciting. The Saleen Club of America will be there as well with lots of Members cars and a booth to welcome new members. We are meeting with Saleen Inc and BCMC next week to finalize the details and are looking to get all the Saleens in the SoCal area to this show.

It's a great venue, right on the water next to the world famous Queen Mary. If you haven't registered for this yet, go to the BCMC web site and get to it.

Thanks, Charlie... we certainly appreciate Larry's attendance at the meeting and for offering his help, as this is certainly going to be a team effort to get the word out to Saleen owners at such a late date.

SOEC has a website where Saleen owners can visit at saleenshow.org -- this will give people the straight scoop on pre-registration, as well as related events the weekend of the show.

Since its inception, the Annual Saleen Show presented by SOEC had traditionally been held at the Saleen facility in Irvine, and though it's impossible to do that again this year, we do hope to see you all at the Queen Mary!

Except for last year when it was presented by SpeedLab and FFW!

More good news from Jon Schultz concerning the upcoming Queen Mary Show for Saleen owners -

Saleen Corp Announces Exclusive Pre-Show Event!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello Saleen Friends,

Here's another reason to register for the show!

I just spoke with Saleen Corporate today, and plans are being finalized for a special, Saleen owner only pre-show event. This will be supported by the Saleen Clubs.

This event will be only for Saleen owners who are pre-registered for Mustangs at the Queen Mary. You will get your passes with your paid registration.

The event, that will start at an undisclosed location, will feature breakfast, a 30+ mile cruise to the show and a sneak peak at the new Limited Edition Saleen Mustang that will be unveiled to the public for the first time later in the day at the Queen Mary.

I am very excited to have Saleen, Inc. as a title sponsor of the show. It seems that every day we speak, they come up with another cool addition to the show. There are some special guests in the works, and I hope to be able to post that info here soon.

Be sure to register for the show before it sells out. Don't sit and wait for someone else to tell you what you missed.

See ya on Oct. 5th!

Jon Schultz
Director, Mustangs at the Queen Mary 12 - Featuring SaleenFest

This just keeps getting better and better. If you haven't registered yet, do it now. You won't want to miss this event.

Yes, indeed, Jared! Thank goodness you guys pushed for that event, as September was fast approaching and it seemed other ideas were falling on deaf ears elsewhere at the company.

That certainly was an eventful weekend with the Red Flag reveal and pizza party at the Saleen Store in the Irvine Spectrum, Cars & Coffee the next morning and then the caravan to Fun Ford Weekend -- fun times.

We're certainly looking forward to the Queen Mary event and we've gotten a lot of positive feedback -- looking forward to it!
