Another style of saleen, wow that's something different. Anyway, I like the rims, the graphics off the hood but miss the window decal. Also the Shaker hood with the way the shaker letters go up and down like they are shaking looks cartoonish. I know Saleens are /have always grabbed your attention but I think this one is too much to be honest. I love a good old fashioned E Car with a really cool paint job and the splitters and then go from there. Anybody know how much? 100K?

you don't know what you're talking about, the Dark Horse is 85% of the ZR1 corvette for 85% of the price, and has 4 seats.

You can have your opinion, but $85K for Mustang? Becoming ridicules the continued out pricing of the average Mustang enthusiast by Saleen.

Well if it's a big issue you can clone the dark horse for 47k including a used donor car. I guarantee that number too because I've talked with the companies that are set up to do this and was thinking of setting up a some one i know with this.

At that point you'd have a car that's FASTER than the ZR-1 corvette because of the option for after market tuning on the supercharger pulley they use and also putting in the SMS race suspension in the car. Saleen is seemingly even more paranoid than Ford on blowing an engine so you can get 20% more hp out of the motor with just a pulley and 15% with the track tested SMS suspension .

It isn't that they are concerned with blowing the engine, but they have to design the car for use in ALL applications and ALL weather conditions and it has to meet strick CO2 and NOX emissions, they also have to do in-use OBD2 monitors...and you typically have to have a slighly over-designed hardware solution for your final calibration tunes (so that you can tell good parts from bad parts and have statistical significance between the two). All of this is confirmed from my co-worker who used to be a 5 year calibration analyst from Ford on the 2005 Mustang GT back when it was in development.
