I'm pretty sure Saleen has it's own brand, ie if you put Saleen badges on a normal car you'd be a poser. Also the Saleen extreme's don't have the same engines as the GT, as of 2007 they have a completely different proprietary Saleen engines that's better than the GT500 engine because it weighs 400 lbs less with the same capabilities out of less displacement (5 liter vs 5.4 liter).


Saleens get passed up most often I've heard because the interior quality is very low. I know at least 3 people that I tried to get into Saleens (because I love them and own one), all owned and could afford cars of Saleen price, and that's what they said.

actually I was hoping to find a dealer within 1000 miles who has a nice convertible and I would just trade my saleen in so I was searching

to the that guy, just buy a saleen...it would have been cheaper etc.

NEVER!!!! I was referring to the folks who take it upon themselves to replace all their emblems on their 05+ GT with Cobra emblems from Ebay and try to pass it off (and even have a username!!) as a real GT500..

Yeah saleen is definitly a competitior and beater of the GT500, but as this thread goes to show posing is not cool. I don't mind people that clone cars, but at least get every detail right or you're an idiot without the right seats.
