Default Extreme car-cover/bra

Hi all,

As you may have seen from my other thread, Santa Claus is going to be bringing me a 2008 S302E - can't wait! :-> I wanted to pick up a car-cover and possibly a bra. I was going to get the Car Cover from Saleen - is that the best bet for the E? Or are there better choices out there?

As far as car-bra's go, I know someone on here was complaining about the Saleen one, and mentioned a different one. Unfortunately the forum search doesn't like "bra", so I couldn't find the article. Any recommendation on bras for the E? I don't really like bra's, and I don't think that I will bother, but its under consideration...

Cheers,

Chris.

I would look into California Car Cover. I just got mine for a 2004 SC281 and it fits Great! You can order the type of fabric/material you want but prices range from 180 to 400. I got the utlraweave for rain for like 280 and locking cable for 10 and it repels rain like crazy. I'm sure they have a cover for your car and you can include specific details like ground effects, etc so it fits right. So check it out!

I have 3 California Car Cover covers for my cars and swear by them. I prefer the Noah fabric for good indoor protection but also for outdoor use on the occasion when I leave it out durning weekend events. Not sure what Saleen is using as their OEM product.....and no offense to the Saleen employees here.....but I would go direct to the source on something like this.

I have the Saleen bra and hate it....but its a necessary evil if you ask me. I didn't buy it for its fit or looks....I bought it for highway protection, which is the only time I use it. In my case, it goes on the car maybe 2-3 times a year at the most.

Others will tell you to invest in the clear bra. I'm not a fan, but to each their own.

I recommend the California Car Covers Superweave. I had them do a custom one with the words SALEEN and their logo printed across the top in huge letters. $400.
I'm looking to have a second cover made, if you want I might be able to try to get them to do a mini group buy lol.

Hmm, now I'm starting to consider this. When I first heard about a clear bra, I was imaging a regular vinyl bra in see-through plastic! This clear film does sound like a great idea - does anyone who has had this done want to chime in here? I think this could be the solution for me...

Thanks,
Chris.

If I were to do a bra Id go with the clear. Other ones just look stupid driving around. And you can take the clear off if you want to. Also thats a damn nice christmas present! post some pics when santa comes

I've got a clear bra on my Liztick Red '07 and am pretty happy with it. Note that there are some other areas on the Mustang body that can benefit from the protection, such as the back inside area of the "scoop" on the side of the body, and the leading edge of the rear wheel flare.

It's expensive to put on, and you will notice a subtle difference in the appearance of the car when the light hits it right.
