Default top speed (curious and don't want to find out for myself)

now i'm a responsible driver, and ive never really gotten my car over 100 except for my trip to Great Lakes Dragaway, but out of curiousity, how fast would my S281 SC be capable of? I see alot of 150 mph estimates, but has anyone ever had the ***** to find out if thats true?

I would guess around 160ish

mustangs are not aerodynamic whatsoever and 435hp is not that much

If I remember SAR (Billy Tally) posted this stuff about 1.5 years ago. I beleive it was SN-197/475SC was 165-175 and the E over 190.

^ thats why I think the 435hp will do 160ish...I imagine the extreme with the 4:10s could hit north of 185mph

With 4:10's, you'll hit the rev limiter sooner and have a lower top speed. Factors to consider are if its a 5-speed car or 6-speed car, what the rev limiter is set at, rear-end gears and tire height.

The 3-valve and sc models still have a top speed governer in place. The E cars don't. The fastest I ook mine stock was 160/165 but I had a lot left. Just didn't hae the road to do it on. I remember Billy posting those numbers.
