Default 3.2 Pulley

Didn't know how many Saleen guys look in the FS Section but does anyone have a 3.2 SC pulley they want to get rid of..Im looking to go from the 3.4 to the 3.2...Also does anyone know of a good shop around Sacramento I can trust to tune my car?

I would run your car back down South a ways to RPM in Rhonert Park. I am sure there is a nice shoppe around The Sac, but do not know. Hollywood03 and I both bring our rides there and have wonderful tunes and a VERY professional shoppe specializing in the Stang.

I'll have to check but I believe I might. I assume a 6-rib pulley?

Man, I'm seeing all these 3.4 pulleys making more than 450 and people with 3.2's making closer to 500... I'm not feeling like my 05 with a 3.2 is making anywhere NEAR that kind of power.

I think I'm only seeing 10 pounds at the top of the RPM range.

Should I sell my 3.2 and pulley down?

Big Top GT, do you have fully open exhaust, or a custom dyno tune? Has your SC been manually ported?

I have basically stock exhaust, and have been on the JDM mailed tunes for a while. I went into Saleen and had the E-car tune (2.875 pulley) and upgrades added in fall of 07' Now I'm back down to a 12lb pulley and tune with good A/F ratio. The E-car upgrade included slight manual porting of the air intake. I think that gave me slightly better numbers with my current 12lb tune and pulley.

My original Saleen tune and 4.5lbs of boost yielded 376rwhp, then my original 8lb JDM R- tune and kit yielded 420rwhp or so @16 or 17 timing. Logically with the same set up, at 10lbs would be about 435-450rwhp, and a 12lb set up 450-465. The E-car tune with the 2.875 pulley and porting produced 501rwhp, and frightened me.

Since my SC was ported, my dyno jet on my 12lb tune actually produced 470-475rwhp, which I feel with my car before the porting, was on the lower end of the expected numbers for the JDM tune spectrum. I have no idea how much the manual porting is supposed to help, or if it does, but before it was done, with my stock exhaust and mailed standard tunes, I also wondered why I was on the low end. Now for some reason, I am not, and the timing is still 16 or 17 as far as I know. Maybe Jim@ JDM can help explain, Erik

Is it safe to go down to a 2.8 pulley on the stock internals of this car? What do you mean it frightened you? Was it to much power that it just scared you or what? I would love to be around the 500 rwhp range if I can get there safely on stock internals...This mailed tune from JDM, how much does it cost?

I have the stock exhaust on the car from the manifolds all the way to the back bumper. It's a daily driver, so I'm most interested in keeping noise to a minimum.

The blower has not been ported, either.

The car has a canned tune from JDM.

$180 dollars and I recommend you have an SCT tuner.

Yeah I have the SCT tuner already and the tune that they gave me a while ago...I had a shop do all my mods for me so im not sure what is on the tuner...I have the cd and the tuner, i guess I should check it out. Will they send a separated tune for different octanes?

I highly recommend you get a safe dyno tune with the 3.2 pulley. It will be fine on your stock block but I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT run a canned email tune with that. You should be around 470rwhp with the 3.2 pulley and the dyno tune will pick up your midrange torque quite a bit.
