Best clutch

Interesting, I have been reading the clutch threads on several different forums and most of the high power guys are running Spec 3+....
Knowing that I am going to have to replace the clutch soon, I want something that is as close to stock as possible but able to handle 500hp+...

The Mcleod is a very nice set up! Very close to stock pedal effort. Smooth and Easy to drive with great holding capacity.
I do recommend going with an aftermarket flywheel. It will work with stock, but you lose almost 50% surface area on the bottom disc.
Here is a link to see some details......

This is one of those things where you're going to ask people what they think and end up with 10 different answers from 8 different people.
I hear good things about the Spec Stage III Plus and the one in my 98 cobra has been working pretty well.
The reason I think people are having clutch failures in the S197's is they're looking at the ratings for the clutch, but not the weight of the vehicle that the company is using to get that rating.
The heavier the car, the lower the rating. It takes a LOT of clutch to get a car that's nearly 4000 pounds going.
This is especially true of one that's making a bunch of power.
I'm stepping up to a Zoom D2 twin disc for no other reason than I got a great deal on it.
It's going in on the 10th, so I'll let you know how it goes once it's in.
