Default Say What?

This thread is odd. To say a mid-engine rear-drive car is at a disadvantage to a front- engine rear-drive car is insane. Especially a Mustang with a high center of gravity, compared to the Ferrari that is...

Yes the Saleen probably has the best solid axel setup in the business, but its still a solid axel with all its inherent limitations. Saleens offer the best balance. Great acceleration and great handling. The best bang for the buck, no doubt. However, it is still a Mustang.

So, why are we comparing apples and oranges again?

I've got the stock Saleen suspension up front and have accumulated a few scrapes, I can't imagine going lower.

I've had my car on the road course with the new GT-R and it lapped me, and I'm not ashamed. The bone stock GT-R owner took me for some laps and I've wanted one ever since.

I think we answered your question and there's a lot of backup to having scraping issues if you go lower. My car scrapes to the point that I have to exit my driveway in a certain way, I've got coilovers as of recently to bring my handling where I want it and I can select my ride height but I don't go lower than stock.

If you're trying to take the GT-R without buying one and all then upgrade to S302E spec with JDM tuning & 285/30/20 and 305/30/20 tires with a watts link/rear sway bar upgrade. You'll cluster f*ck him on every part of the track.

Just a side note, with the Griggs front end you can fit 305 tires for your front tires. With tires that big how could you not out handle just about anything!
