Default Dyno time - at last!

Well, '08 S302E #0011 (SallyX) finally clocked over 1000 miles - so it was off to the dyno!

Bottom line - 501HP, 461TQ - spot on what I was hoping for. It was deemed a "conservative tune", which is fine by me. AF looked great, which shows that the 39lb injectors are living up to their task. The car is bone stock, and with the power numbers right where I want them - is likely to stay that way for some time.

Awesome numbers, man! I'd be thrilled to have that sort of power!

The coolest thing about that is how much torque you have down low. At 2500 RPM's you're almost pushing 450 torque. That's sick!!!!!

I want a ride in your car!

Fantastic numbers. Congrats. I too am waiting to crack the break-in period so I can head to the dyno. I don't think I'll be putting down your numbers though

I remembered being a thread about the new 08 E cars putting down close to 550RWHP. I knew it would be around 500, but people fell into the Saleen power number trap again. Either way those are great numbers for a stock car. At least the car is putting down what it should compared to the 06-07 E cars.

I had the opprotunity to drive the Black Saleen Press car. That car simply hauled ***. Probably had a bit more power than the advertised 620. I remember reading somewhere that it cranked out near 535 at the tires...

However, 500 at the tires hits the numbers as advertised and are awesome numbers. Congrats!

Default Bone stock?

Do you also mean your engine is stock and putting out 500hp? Is it a daily driver? I just want the 435hp roush charger and install it myself with their easy manual.

Is it risky to put that on stock engine and manual trans?
Also can I drive it to the shop to dyno tune it without damaging anything?
Feel free to e-mail me so I dont hijack ctann's thread.

Oh ya it has 24k miles

No, he means his car is stock and his motor is putting out about 590 HP assuming a 15% loss through the transmission

Its a different bottom end and maybe the top too, Im not too sure what Saleen did with either end but its much stronger and slightly bigger (dunno if its an increase in bore or stroke)
but its a 302 compared to your 281 (5.0 vs 4.6)

the 08 uses a 2.7 pulley as per jess albright, although i was told that they dyno over 550 hp on a dynojet my 07 extreme has only the 08 cai and im making 512rwhp so im guessing something wrong with the numbers.
