Losing Boost After 2000 RPM! Help!!!!
Ok I know its a F150 but this seems to be an issue with the roush supercharger not the truck. I was driving around just now and i get on it a little, nothing major, and i notice the exhaust is way louder than the supercharger whine. So I get on it again to see if it did it again and it did. I have boost up until about 2000 rpm then I can hear the supercharger winding down even though im still accelerating. Anyone know what could be causing this? I checked under the hood and nothing looks out of place but its dark so ill have to take a closer look tommorow morning. Ill also have to call Roush and see what they say. The truck has less than 10000 miles on it but just turned 3 years old as of the 6th this month
i feel sick since i was just about to sell the truck and get a 5.0

Sounds like possible belt slip. if you are loosing boost beyond 2K RPM you may need a new belt. Check for black dust on the surfaces of the pulleys, and even the hood, and accessories. Check for bent belt tensioners, and the belt itself for significant wear.

found out that since the truck had an aftermarket pulley made of aluminum and it was very thin metal, it was getting stuck on the s/c snout. It cracked under the stress and broke a few of the teeth off. Currently Chicane sport tuning is making me a custom pulley and getting a new belt. thankfully it broke while I was showing the owner the problem and i was able to coast back to his shop
