Default TracKey Questions

1) When the TracKey is active, does it add more horsepower and torque?

2) Has anyone taken their 12' Boss to a Test and Tune and compared the 1/4 mile times with and without the TracKey?

3) Anyone know if the TracKey affects mpg, if so how much? If not significant what would be wrong with using it all the time?

My dealer was clueless, had a blank stare when I even asked him about the TracKey.

Thanks

Any idea of what the numbers are? Any written reference out there?

Just what I was looking for. Posters don't seem to be impressed with it.
Thanks

I skipped it and just went with a JLT CAI/93 Lund tune, I wouldn't pay $400 for something that doesn't add a single horsepower.

It seems the only benefit to sticking with the tracKey is if you plan on keeping it stock and for the "numbers matching" aspect of it. A friend of mine is still battling if he wants to drop the $400 bucks to get the key, and the dealer he bought his from had no idea about the tracKey either.

15 years ago I went looking for a Cobra. The salesperson asked me if I wanted a standard or automatic. I had to tell him they did not put an automatic in it. The sales people have their head up their ***. If Ford is going to market and sell a specialty vehicle, why don't they at least have a informational session for those in sales. Then they would not look like such idiots.
Mine was programmed for the TracKey as part of the deal. Unfortunately that was another experience. Once again I knew more about it than those in service.

Same happened to me in '03. I went to the dealership to inquire about the new Mach 1 "sitting on their lot" and the sales guy told me that they stopped making those in the 70's.

I have on more than one occasion had to correct sales guys, and even some service guys on things about my stang.

It is pretty sad to be honest.
