*update*
had an e-mail from the dealer today, the car was dispatched from the Saleen factory on Feb 22, it is en-route to the dealership which is approx 40miles east of Tampa, would i be correct in saying door to door this is a distance of approx 3000 miles? any idea on how long this would take in a lorry?
over here in england lorries are governed to a max speed of 56mph and the driver is only allowed to drive for 3-4 hours before having to take a break of 30mins i think, I dont knwo if you have driver regulations

Yes, here we have truck driving limits also, but I think its more like drive 85Mph in the fast lane, and take speed to keep you awake[IMG][/IMG]

finaly my saleen arrived at the port here in England, some A. hole decided the side badge was worthy as a momento and in the process of prising it off with a screwdriver has gouged the paint pretty deep![:@] the 50mile drive home was fantastic, the sound and feel is beautiful, its been locked in the garage since I got it home though with no rear clusters as they are off being modified to be road legal over here, another 2-3 weeks and all will be sorted and I will be driving it everywhere

can I just contact Saleen for a replacement side badge?

thanks
steve

I would think so .. include in your correspondence some pictures of the damage too.
I would have advised you pick up some extra badges prior to shipping ... I've heard this occurs quite a bit.
Several US military types have run into this problem.

Congrats on the car!!! Looking foraward to some pictures with English scenery all season!!
