RE: Extremely heavy clutch... need opinion between aftermarket and OEM

I'd rule out any issues with the slave cylinder/ hydraulics first.

RE: What do you think is the best work ramps for the S197?

For my stock GT (not lowered like yours, Legion5) the Pep Boys ramps work fine. They're made by Davric, I think. I agree with Retro5, those kwiklift ramps are my dream ramps.

RE: Pypes Violators-input on drone

I have been very pleased with my Violators. They only have an annoying drone when ALL the following are happening at once:
1) 1800-2200 rpm, 2)windows closed, and 3) a particular throttle input...

RE: My ramps are slipping, need some ideas to prevent

I went and bought 4 of those long, skinny 50 pound sand bags. (The kind people put in their pickup bed for winter traction.) I pile 2 in front of each ramp to keep it from moving. It works great. I...

RE: Anyone use a locking gas cap?

The Stant locking cap seems to work fine,I bought it mostly for vandalism. If you don't want the key on your key ring, you can keep it in the center storage console of your car.

RE: Hood shaking on freeway

My hood used to shake violently at highway speeds. Unlike the minor vibrations some others were talking about, this was definitely a big deal. Trial and error setting/resetting the twist rubber hood...

RE: supercharger or gears

I'm in the minority, but the 4.10s were the perfect mod for me. It made the car into the feisty small-block vintage muscle car I was looking for. The acceleration is great for a daily driver....

RE: Pypes Violator Axle-back

I have been happy with mine. I get lots of compliments on them. Powerful sound but not obnoxious loud. I think they are a great value for the money.

RE: People with 4.10s chime in!!!!

Harraid, it might be easier to just ask your mechanic what (if anything) they need you to bring. I told mine I was bringing my own gears, they said they had plenty of everything else on hand. (shims,...

Silverhorse Racing gets my vote. They are the ones I'm getting when I get around to it. I think they look great.

I agree with the above statement, one bottle of friction modifier is all you should need.

Pascal, I had to laugh because I know exactly what you're thinking. After watching an episode of Chip Foose's show where he used some fastback panels I had to go out to the garage and move the angle...

RE: 4.10 VS 4.30

RE: Question for after Gears Installation

I was told to take it easy for 2 or 3 heat cycles, and then not to worry about it. Don't see anything wrong with being more careful like Pascal says, though.
