I could be mistaken but I don't believe the 429 was available in the Fairlane until 1970. The top engine choice in 69 was a 428. Can you post the VIN and door tag info?

Switching heads has nothing to do with your main caps having two or four bolts. 4v heads will bolt on any 2 bolt cleveland block just fine. Therefore it is no more difficult than any other head swap....
