My 1971 mustang is registered as a classic, not an antique. To pass a safety inspection, do I need to leave the EGR and fuel canister in place? I get conflicting answers when I ask or read the law....

It's probably a broken o-ring

Had the same thing happen in my 1971. There is a broken o-ring in the distribution block. I took mine apart, cleaned it up, and got new o-rings from the local Oreilly Auto. We matched the old ones...
