Hm, i thought i remember seeing something abotu the 3k thing in the manual. I'll have to check again, but what you are saying is, vary teh RPM but no WOT kinda deal right?

break in period = 500 miles, they reccomend not taking it above 3k rpm

That's what i figured, so id the popping just some fuel escaping the valves and igniting or somewhere along those lines? and maybe it's just not as noticeable on the stock mufflers. I had Flowmasters...

The hood seems to be the most vulnerable part of the car for dings. Also the easiest thing to replace IMO.

Tried it, no go, definately too deep. It's all good though, i'm just going to let them do their thing then if the wet sand is safe.

That would be great if it didn't. If there is a way to just fill it in it'd be all over that. It definately has depth, someday i'll get more into repairing that kind of thing.

K&N sells one that doens't require a tune. In my opinion, it's worth getting a tune, you definately don't have to tune it to premium, there's all sorts of different tunes out there.
