It will be more dramatic then that. The only gear that stays the same is 4th gear. I had 4.10 gears and at the track I was in 3rd right at the 60ft mark.

Don't use a cheap torque wrench when torqueing heads. They can be 10-20lbs off sometimes. I tested a craftsman one I had on the matco tool truck and it was 17lbs low when I had it set at 100ftlbs.

I did just lowers when I had my 87gt at first and I still had wheel hop. I did adjustable uppers shortly after and that took care of the wheel hop.

You could do 4.56 gears and 28" tall tire no problem. You would probably go through the traps right around 5500rpm depending where you shift. The car would launch hard as hell though.
