I know this may sound wierd, but...

I wonder if a tune would fix this. Guess it's time to buy the CAI & tuner from Brenspeed and find out. :)

Well, that's the thing...I started it up, was fiddling with putting my phone charger into the power plug, plugging my cell phone in, fiddling with my iPod to get a song going, all before I started...

Loss of power

So...

Last night I was driving out of work (about 11pm at night) and all of a sudden it starts feeling like there's severe hesitation when I'm stepping on the gas, almost like the fuel was cutting...

RE: First Oil Change Question

I kinda have to agree. My dad's BMW Z4 gets 1 oil change a year - every 15k mi. That's direct from the manufacturer, and they put full synthetic in the motor. Now, I WILL say that the 3k rule IS...

RE: Help me get into a mustang GT please...

I won't knock Jettas as a DD...They're ok cars, but certainly not in the class of the Mustang. I'd certainly consider a Jetta as a replacement for my gf's '99 Corolla, but I wouldn't get rid of my GT...

thread size on stock shift knob

So...

I just got my "economic stimulus" check from the gov't, and was thinking about buying an MGW short shifter.

I'd like to use the stock shift knob (I want to keep it looking stock when...

RE: What do you all use?

Exterior

Car Wash: Meguiar's GC Car wash or NXT Car wash
Sponge/Mit: TurtleWax Lambswool mitt
Rims: (since all the cars I have are painted) Meguiar's All Wheel cleaner, followed by...

RE: Wash -> Clay -> Wax ->???

With regards to claying:

Clay it when the car needs it. The way that you can tell is to run your hand over the car after you've washed it. If it feels gritty, you need to clay. That's the way I...

RE: Using a claybar

It can take a LONG time the first time you do a clay; the very first car I had done was my old Saturn SC2, which was a DD. I clayed it about 2 months after I'd gotten it, and I couldn't believe how...

RE: Car Show this weekend got some questions

Not sure what you're meaning by "wipes"...Are you looking for something like a baby wipe type of thing? I've always used degreaser to clean off the engine bay, and a terrycloth towel to get the gunk...

RE: posi-trac or open rear end?

Well, TECHNICALLY (and this is being REALLY, REALLY nitpicky) GM coined the phrase "PosiTraction" to describe the LSD rear ends in theChevrolet line when it first came out, so, no, we don't have...

RE: ***Cruise, BBQ, Drive-In Movie Stangpede San Diego Style***

I dunno if I can make the cruise (my birthday's that weekend, and the gf wants to take me out), but I might be able to meet up with you guys to see a movie there. What're you guys planning to see, or...

RE: STILLEN EVENT - An Update

Dang, wish I could attend, but I'll be at the Good Guys Car Show in Del Mar on the 5th. :( I've already got a registration for that. If Stillen does something like this again, though, I'll come up...

RE: Airbag Recall Question

I was getting the light coming on & off when my gf was sitting in the passenger seat. She'd shift her weight and the light would go on...Then it would go off. Then it would go back on again. She's a...

RE: Decided to try a touch of a retro look...

Very true...But who knows, maybe we'll start seeing a rebirth of RWL for tires in the next few years, with the retro muscle coming back. I for one would love to see RWL on the S197 Mustang, or the...

RE: Decided to try a touch of a retro look...

Well, I'd thought about doing just the Pirelli and the PZero Nero lettering, but it looked off balance. So, I threw in the tire sizing as well. I kinda went off of the old BFG's that are on my '74...

Decided to try a touch of a retro look...

So I went out yesterday to the local WalMart, and was wandering through the aisles picking up car wax (finally ran out of NXT Tech Wax, so I figured I'd try the new NXT 2.0) and I saw these...

RE: Is fuel filter a DIY job?

+1 on that...I did the "start the car with the relay out and let it run until it dies" and I STILL had fuel come out on me. All in all, it's a REALLY easy job. Just be careful when you pull the...

RE: Time between polish and wax

+1 on that...I was pulled away from waxing my car on Monday, and it sat for about an hour before I could put wax on it. Now, I had the car garaged, but it shouldn't be too much different from your...

RE: removing wax from plastic trim

I used to use Back to Black, but that was up until I got my hands on some of Meguiar's Gold Class Trim Detailer. This is the best stuff I've found for FORD plastic. Let me emphasize that; it worked...

RE: replace synthetic after 3 months

Don't see any reason why you couldn't go past 1 year with synthetic...BMW runs synthetic oil in their engines and changes the oil every 7k mi. They have no problem waiting a year and a half or 2...

RE: What are you doing on St. Patrick's Day? Permission to post by Howarmat

Man, I wish I could go, but I already made a promise to go to a pub crawl this weekend with the gf...And I don't think I'll even make THAT, because I'm starting to feel sick. :(

RE: Turn off TCS?

This makes me wonder, though...

I wonder if my gas mileage would be different for driving with the TCS on/off. I mean, in theory, the TCS is supposed to modulate the amount of power to the rear...

RE: This Was On My Garage Door This Morning...

Wow...I kinda wish my neighbors would just randomly fill my tank with gas, especially when it's pushing $3.65/gal right now...:)

Agreed, though...It's not worth pissing them off. Otherwise, you...
