i did my ac clutch, pulley & coil, if i remember correctly everything went on the shaft smooth, maybe something is wrong w/ the pulley hub or the shaft of the compressor.

i had my gas tank rust out along the seam on the back of the tank, imo i would by a new gas tank, seals, sending unit, and new fuel pump because you dont know wat the other owner did.

i did it years ago on a 93 gt i used to own, never had a problem. ive done searches on it & some people say dont do it because the the computer is looking at the act for a certain tempature. who knows

maybe bad motor mounts, are u sure its the tranny, if u have the aluminum driveshaft it could be hitting the body because its larger in size compared to stock.
