RE: Slammed: Tokico D-specs + Eibach Pro-Kit meets the Stang

I think I have the same front right strut thunk. It's not overly loud, but it's obvious.
Good to know it may be cured via a lowering kit, which is someplace down the long list of mods (though I'm...

RE: What do you hate about your car?

The squeak someplace in my gauge cluster, that occurs when the interior is warming up.

RE: Chrome wheels - blemish

Long ago, I used "chrome paint" on an old chromed bumper that had peeled and rusted. It was very shiny silver, and didn't last very long, but it certainly was not chrome - - chrome plating is an...

RE: Want to get some stripes put on... need opinions w/ color

I have white, and removed the black factory rocker stripes (with "mustang" lettering) - looks good plain, but now feels like there's something missing.
I have been looking at black, silver, and...

RE: Center caps/spinners for aftermarket Bullitt's

Yes, American Muscle says they will be out of stock for another 2 weeks, and the same ones from wheelhq.com are also out of stock for weeks.
So for now looks like I will go with the caps that came...

Center caps/spinners for aftermarket Bullitt's

Just bought four 18x9 deep dish chrome Bullitt-style wheels from American Muscle.
The supplied center caps (black with silver "flaming M") look OK, though I was hoping I could use my OEM Ford...

RE: [PICS]**NEW Painted Lights/Faux Gas Cap! What do you think?

Looks great - I like the painted faux gas cap - nice mods. Also nice to see that you didn't go with black rims - that might be too much. Looks pretty badazz.

RE: 2 questions about 18" chrome Bullitts

Grrr. Ordered the 18x10's from WheelHQ - order went through, then got an email saying they are out of stock until 6/27 as well - which further confirms they are the same wheel from the same...

Now for tires: recommend 18x9 and 18x10 combo?

EDIT: Dammit, the 18x10's I just ordered are out of stock until 6/27 (I have tried both American Muscle and WheelHQ, both out of stock until 6/27). I don't want to wait over a month - may end up just...

RE: 2 questions about 18" chrome Bullitts

Well, the 18x10's are the same between American Muscle and WheelHQ. As are the 18x9's between both companies.
But the off-set for the 18x10's from WheelHQ are different than the 18x9's (being my...

RE: 2 questions about 18" chrome Bullitts

Thank you, Jazzer. I looked at both photos closely, and they appear identical (same reflections in the photos, etc). Let's just hope they're the same when they arrive! I don't drive a whole lot -...

2 questions about 18" chrome Bullitts

Question 1:
The two 18x9 deep dish chrome Bullitt's I ordered from americanmuscle.com should be arriving today.
They said the matching 18x10's (I am going staggered) won't be in until around June...

I've got the billett upper from americanmuscle.com, for the V6. Also have the lower but not installed - unsure if I will or not.

RE: Has anyone else recieved a similar letter?

Suspect it's just a dealer ploy, to get you to trade up. I haven't received the same exact letter, but similar, from the Ford dealer where I bought mine.
And get the occasional calls asking if I'm...

RE: Mod Suggestions

Agreed on side-stripe removal.
Is that a dealership badgevertisement on the back? If so, I'd see about removing that as well.
New muffler (single Flowmaster AT) was my first mod - get a little...

RE: mod list

I researched wheels + tires for a good while before making my decision, and you can spend anywhere from $600 +/- for some lightly used-take-off's, to, well, the sky's the limit...
Depends on what...

RE: Tinted windows help

+1 on choosing a tint place that already knows about the issue.
My place mentioned it without me bringing it up, and they installed new felt strips as opposed to moleskin (and now the windows go up...

RE: Thing in trunk????? pics included

I was thinking it was the reservoir for the blinker fluid, or maybe the float for the waternator, but those are made in Finland, not France.

RE: Thing in trunk????? pics included

That'd be my guess, without really knowing for sure.
I'd say turn on the car stereo, then yell at the doohickey and see if the stereo volume goes up.
And then explain to any passers-by why you...

RE: FYI about aftermarket wheels

Thank you for the tip. I never would have known that, and it's a good bet that whomever will be installing my new rims/tires (once I have the full set) wouldn't have known either.

RE: i want to tint my windows.. but one question..

I think it'll look good, esp with a black top. Dooo eeet!
I checked window tint laws for MI here (http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/MI/); I assume they're accurate as I also checked my own state and...

RE: Tints?!

$115 for all-over tint is very inexpensive. mine was $255, but they also installed new felt strips so the tint won't get scratched. had the 1/4 windows done even though i have louvers on the way...

RE: Tint ON; rocker stripes & door ding guards OFF

Definitely looks darker on a white car than other colors, for some reason - maybe it's just the contrast and mind games.
Plus interior color has a lot to do with it - mine's dark charcoal, so, less...

RE: Tint ON; rocker stripes & door ding guards OFF

Funny you say "PoPo" - I thought that was a local thing in my town (POrtland POlice)...
Tint guy said they can only "test" on a window which they have access to both sides - meaning - some kinda...

RE: Tint ON; rocker stripes & door ding guards OFF

Yeah, I think because I was looking for it, I could see it. As a whole, doesn't seem like it will jump out at me.
I will probably wash & wax the whole thing, using Zymol this time, and then not...
